Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting tasks with precision, ensuring proper handling of all materials
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Assist with order picking processes by selecting products according to order specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and improve distribution efficiency
- Follow safety protocols diligently and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers in a warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues when necessary
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying shipments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Prior experience with order picking and warehouse operations is preferred
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
