Skilled General Contractor $28–$40/hr | Commercial Renovation Project

Work on a project where every day is different.

We are looking for a reliable, experienced and versatile contractor / renovation professional to join our team for a large commercial renovation project at Plaza 14 in Calgary.

This is not a repetitive construction job. Plaza 14 has multiple retail and office spaces being renovated and repositioned, so the work will vary considerably from one project to the next.

If you're someone who can walk into a space, understand what needs to be done, and confidently tackle a variety of renovation and maintenance projects, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Working On

Projects will include a mix of:

- Demolition and preparation of vacant retail and office spaces
- Office renovations and tenant improvements
- Framing, drywall, mudding and finishing
- Flooring installation and repairs
- Interior painting
- Doors, trim, baseboards and finishing work
- Cabinetry and general carpentry
- Plumbing fixture replacements
- Minor electrical work where legally permitted based on qualifications
- Ceiling and wall repairs
- General building repairs and maintenance
- Preparing commercial spaces for new tenants
- Coordinating larger repairs with specialized trades when required





Who We're Looking For We're particularly interested in someone with multiple construction/renovation skill sets rather than experience in only one trade.

You should be able to work independently, troubleshoot problems and take pride in producing clean, professional work. Commercial renovation experience is an asset.

Having your own basic tools and reliable transportation is preferred.

Licensed electricians, plumbers and other ticketed trades are also encouraged to apply. Compensation will reflect qualifications and experience.

Compensation

$28–$40/hour

Your starting rate will depend on your experience, qualifications and the range of work you can complete independently.

There is substantial ongoing work available at Plaza 14, with multiple spaces requiring renovations and improvements.
