We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourer/Warehouse Worker to join our metal fabrication team. In this role, you will be an essential part of our warehouse operations, supporting the movement, storage, and distribution of goods. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth workflow and safety compliance.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in warehouse management, heavy equipment operation, and logistics processes within a fast-paced environment. This is an entry level position and we will provide training for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the production and assembly of metal parts
- Assist with order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly
- Operate warehouse machinery including forklifts and other heavy equipment following safety protocols
- Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, verifying inbound and outbound deliveries against documentation
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing inventory and maintaining a clean workspace
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of daily tasks and uphold safety standards
- Assist with construction-related tasks or heavy lifting as needed to support ongoing projects
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience or construction background is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is preffered
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory control software is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and order picking processes
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution practices and safety regulations
- Valid certifications for forklift operation or crane operation are desirable but not mandatory
