Mayfair Living is seeking a hands-on, community-minded General Manager to lead its approximately 60-suite retirement residence in Vankleek Hill, Ontario. Offering primarily independent living with assisted living services, the residence provides a smaller, community-based environment where leadership is highly visible and closely connected to residents, families, employees, and the surrounding community.

Position Overview

This is a broad, hands-on leadership opportunity for a professional who can bring together the responsibilities of general management, resident care, and sales. The successful candidate will have a direct role in understanding the local market, optimizing revenue and expenses, maintaining high resident satisfaction, and strengthening Mayfair Living’s presence and relationships within the local community.

The role calls for a leader who is comfortable being involved in the day-to-day operation of the residence while balancing business performance, quality resident services, team leadership, occupancy growth, and community engagement. Qualifications

- Leadership Experience: Leadership experience in retirement living, seniors’ care, long-term care, healthcare, hospitality, or a related service environment, with the ability to balance resident care, sales, operations, and team leadership in a hands-on setting.
- Business & Occupancy Acumen: Experience with sales, marketing, business development, occupancy growth, or related revenue-generation activities is an asset.
- Hands-On Approach: Comfortable working in a smaller residence where flexibility and active involvement in daily operations are essential.
- Education: Relevant post-secondary education in healthcare, business, hospitality, social services, or a related discipline is an asset.

Compensation

- The position offers an annual salary of $80,000–$95,000.
- Performance Bonus: Opportunity to earn an annual performance bonus of up to 15% of base salary.
