General Sales Manager/Path to the General Manager

Are you a high-energy automotive sales leader driven to break records and ready to step into executive leadership?

Volkswagen Chatham is now under Roadsport Auto Group. We are looking for an ambitious, proactive General Sales Manager with the direct intention of developing this individual into our next General Manager. If you are relentlessly focused on driving new business, optimizing showroom processes, and coaching teams to succeed, we will provide the executive-level training and mentorship to take you to the GM seat.

What You’ll Do

- Lead, recruit, and coach our sales and F&I; teams to achieve monthly volume, gross profit, and customer retention goals.
- Actively hunt for new business, drive innovative digital/local marketing initiatives, and improve lead conversion rates.
- Monitor showroom traffic, desking deals, and inventory turn (new and pre-owned).
- Uphold top-tier customer satisfaction and brand standards for Volkswagen.
- Work closely with ownership across all departments (Sales, Service, Parts) to master dealership operations on your fast track to GM.

What You Bring

- Proven track record in automotive sales management (GSM, Sales Manager,



or top-performing F&I; Manager ready to step up).
- A forward-thinking, proactive mindset—never settling for the status quo.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and deal-structuring skills.
- Clean driver’s abstract and valid OMVIC license (or eligible to obtain).
