Air Canada is currently seeking dynamic individuals to fill full-time positions for a Ground Support Equipment Utility Mechanic.

The incumbent must possess the following skills:

- Be well-acquainted with procedures and equipment used by qualified workers and be able to perform general maintenance work requiring basic manual skills.
- Work alone or, as needed, assist mechanics in the installation or maintenance of ground support equipment.
- Perform heavy work indoors and outdoors.
- Must have team spirit and written and oral communication skills; be customer-oriented and able to work in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

- High school diploma.
- Practical knowledge and/or experience in general maintenance of ground support equipment (GSE), and/or automotive, agricultural, or heavy industrial equipment, including welding experience. Successful completion of the pre-employment exam.




- Possession of a valid driver's licence.
- Obtaining the Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) driver's licence (DA) for driving motor vehicles in the restricted traffic area (airside).
- Availability to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
- Employees occupying this position perform safety-sensitive work, and as such, Air Canada's medical standards must be met to qualify for this position. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test, and must be free of any intoxicating substances.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all transportation security clearances and other applicable additional accreditations, depending on the workplace. Please refer to the Transport Canada website for more details.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the country concerned at the time an offer of employment is extended and are responsible for obtaining work permits, visas, or other necessary authorizations. Proof of eligibility must be provided prior to the start date.
