LIFEGUARD & SWIM INSTRUCTOR

Trico Centre has part-time and full-time hourly opportunities available for Lifeguards and Swim Instructors who enjoy working in a fun dynamic team environment. We have an excellent group of employees and are looking to add to our current team. These roles take on a wide variety of tasks which may include; working with the public, guarding, instructing, and performing cleaning tasks in a professional and friendly manner.

If you have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a safe facility we are looking for you. Working shifts include daytime, evenings weekends and statutory holidays. Preference will be given to candidates who have both their NL and LSI Certifications.

Responsibilities:

- Maintains pool safety standards in a busy wave pool environment
- Lifeguards and provides related duties
- Plans, instructs and evaluates swim programs as needed
- Maintains a high level of pool, deck and change room cleanliness
- Liaises with parents and children on instruction progress and pool rules
- Delivers exceptional customer service to patrons
- Provides a safe and fun learning environment for swimmers and patrons
- Shows a positive and professional attitude
- Implements facility wide and pool first aid procedures when required

Qualifications:

- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age or older
- Current National Lifeguarding (NL) Certification mandatory
- Current Lifesaving Instructor certification (LSI) mandatory




- Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid/CPR “C”/AED Certification required
- Trico Centre will initiate a comprehensive criminal background check for all new hires. A previous check will be accepted provided it is dated within the past 6 months,If you are 18 years or older, it is Mandatory.
- Pool Operator 1 is a definite asset
- WHMIS
- Previous guarding experience a definite asset
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
