Our RecreationDepartment is looking for a dedicated Guest Experience Representative to jointhe team.

Position Responsibilities

You set the stagefor the Recreation facilities' first impression and ongoing commitment toservice excellence. The exceptional service and informative details regardingRecreation department offerings including memberships and programmingopportunities to all guests and members are of utmost importance for your role.Your role requires extended periods of time on your feet. Other physical tasks may include receivingshipments, restocking inventory and cleaning.

- Anticipate andpersonalize service for each guest creating an exceptional, safe, andstress-free experience.
- Facilitate accessto the facility through membership or drop-in payment.
- Handle variousforms of payment including cash, debit, and credit cards.
- Ensure theRecreation Department guidelines and procedures are followed in accordance withsafety and other regulating standards.
- Accurately completeregistration and membership sales transactions with our membership andregistration management system.
- Sales of service,membership, or program opportunities through genuine curiosity, knowledge, andengagement of guests. Presenting what will best serve the individual needs ofour guests.
- Handle concernswith empathy and solve guest challenges with empowerment.
- Maintain eyecontact, smiling, and a genuine interest with each of our guests and coworkers.
- Demonstrate apositive attitude and commitment to teamwork in a family-friendly andcommunity-focused atmosphere.
- Provide leadershipin safety emergencies as outlined in our health and safety program.

Qualifications

- A naturalcommunicator with a genuinely positive and empathetic personality.
- Proven experiencein the customer service industry, with no less than 2 years' experience in aguest-facing role.
- Demonstratedproficiency with computers,



and recent experience working with a Windows-basedsoftware setting.
- Proven proficiencyand accuracy in cash handling and reconciliation are necessary.
- Flexibility to workshift work on a rotational schedule which includes early mornings, days, lateevenings, weekends, and holidays.
- An ability tomultitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- An ability to usehandheld radios and microphones to communicate with operation teams and makefacility announcements.
- A professional,well-groomed appearance, able to represent the Recreation Department and theCity of Grande Prairie brand to our guests and teammates.
- Fluency in theEnglish language, both oral and written (fluency in another language may beconsidered as an asset).
- First AidCertification is an asset.

Hours The standardworkweek consists of an average of 15 hours, with the specific schedule beingdetermined by theimmediate supervisor.

Compensation

Salary of $27.63 asper hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement.
