Role Description The Health & Safety Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Orangeville, ON, responsible for supporting and enhancing workplace health and safety programs. This role involves implementing and monitoring Health and Safety policies, conducting regular workplace inspections, and identifying potential hazards to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards. The Health & Safety Coordinator will assist in developing and delivering safety training, emergency response drills, and awareness initiatives for team members.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining safety documentation, incident and near-miss reporting, coordinating corrective actions, and collaborating with operations leadership to promote a proactive safety culture. The role also includes supporting occupational health initiatives and contributing to continuous improvement projects related to safety processes and performance.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong skills in Health & Safety with experience applying regulatory requirements in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Candidates should possess skills in Workplace Safety and Occupational Health, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident prevention practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Safety Training, with the ability to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for diverse employee groups.
- Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CRSP, CHSC, CSP) are an asset.
- Knowledge of Canadian and provincial health and safety legislation, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels in safety initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and support continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or materials processing environment is beneficial.
