Wastech Services, a subsidiary of the Belkorp Group of Companies, is a BC-based company. We operate the Campbell Hill Landfill in Cache Creek, BC and are also responsible for the post closure care of the Cache Creek Landfill.

We are looking to add a Heavy Equipment Operator to our Cache-Creek based team. This position will focus on safely operating heavy equipment to complete landfill construction and maintenance projects. The schedule will be 4 days on, 3 days off, and 10 hours per day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Safely operate heavy equipment, specifically dozers and excavators, to complete civil construction and operations scope under the direction of supervisory personnel.
- Perform daily equipment inspections.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to safety, documentation, and quality.
- Perform additional responsibilities in support of landfill operations or construction projects, as required by business needs. These tasks may involve maintenance and repair tasks and may involve heavy lifting.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction, with a minimum of 3 years of experience operating dozers and/or excavators. Experience with loaders, graders, rock trucks,



and other civil construction machinery is an asset.
- Robust understanding of construction safety standards and best practices.
- Ability and willingness to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Class 5 Drivers License in good standing. Class 1 or 3 Drivers License is considered an asset.
- Ability to be on-call outside of the assigned shift is an asset.
- GPS and surveying skills are considered an asset.

OTHER INFORMATION

- Vehicle allowance to support personal driving to and from the Cache Creek Landfill (e.g., to and from Cache Creek to Kamloops) may be considered.

Pay: $33.00-$41.00 per hour
