We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team for snow clearing operations during the upcoming winter months.

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Operators to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to remove snow from parking lots, roadways, loading areas, and other commercial/residential sites. This is a seasonal, on-call position that requires availability during and after snow events, including days, nighs, weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate will ensure the safe operation of heavy equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace, while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment to explicit snow and relocate piles as needed
- Load snow into trucks for hauling and removal
- Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Work closely with site supervisors and crew members to ensure efficient snow removal
- Follow all safety protocols and site-specific procedures
- Maintain clear communication during snow events and shifts
- Perform heavy lifting as required, handling materials safely and efficiently.




- Maintain compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations while operating heavy equipment.

Experience

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating heavy equipment; loader, skid steer or grader
- Ability to work flexible, on-call hours during snowfalls and storms
- Reliable transportation to dispatch locations
- Strong awareness of surroundings and safe operation practices
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in challenging weather conditions
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including skid steers and forklifts.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong attention to detail.

Assets (Not Required):

- Experience with snow removal operations
- Mechanically inclined or able to perform basic equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with commercial and residential properties
