We are seeking an experienced HSE Superintendent to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring employee safety and maintaining HSE compliance at the project site.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in HSE, regulatory compliance, and industrial project execution. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Canadian legislation, regulatory requirements, industry codes and standards, and company HSE requirements, while promoting a robust safety culture throughout site operations.

? Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise contractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure compliance with HSE standards, PPE requirements, policies, procedures, and project requirements.
- Implement HSE training, inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and task-specific training for project personnel.
- Monitor HSE performance, including statistics, targets, trends, inspections, and safety observations, and provide regular reports.
- Ensure timely reporting, investigation, and follow-up of accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, including corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify HSE risks and coordinate the implementation of appropriate action plans and preventive measures.
- Plan and coordinate HSE objectives and strategies for construction and monitor their implementation.
- Ensure subcontractors understand and comply with all Client, Company, and Project HSE Plans, procedures, standards, Permit to Work requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Verify workforce competency, certifications, training,



and awareness to ensure activities are performed safely and in compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct site safety inspections and monitor housekeeping, welfare facilities, temporary installations, hazardous substances, safety equipment, and overall site conditions.
- Support and supervise HSE personnel assigned to the project, providing guidance, coaching, and technical support as required.
- Attend HSE meetings and coordinate with the Site HSE Manager and Project Management on HSE matters.
- Maintain a strong understanding of construction activities and work sequences and apply effective accident prevention and integrated safety practices.
- Act as a strong and effective communicator and stand in for the Site HSE Manager when required.

✅ Mandatory Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university. A master’s degree in an applicable field is considered an asset.
- 8+ years of related experience, preferably within Oil & Gas, LNG, power generation, petrochemical, energy, or heavy industrial EPC projects.
- Must be open to rotation and site work.
- Strong capabilities in team leadership, technical writing, client interface, and multidisciplinary coordination, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of applicable Canadian regulations, industry codes and standards, and engineering practices relevant to Safety and HSE.
