Infrastructure Systems Administrator: On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Infrastructure Systems Administrator for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with in office visits as required at our client’s Toronto, ON office.

Infrastructure Systems Administrator - : This role supports bank's backup infrastructure operations, specifically focusing on the Rubrik backup environment. The position involves setting up and managing server and database backups, configuring schedules and access controls, and troubleshooting backup issues in collaboration with systems and database administrators.

Rubrik training will be provided internally, and the role may expand to include additional backup platforms over time.

Infrastructure Systems Administrator - Responsibilities:

- Set up and configure server and database backups within the Rubrik environment
- Add backups to appropriate schedules, report groups, and access control configurations
- Troubleshoot backup issues in collaboration with systems administrators, database administrators, and Rubrik vendor support
- Follow documented procedures and maintain backup infrastructure documentation
- Communicate technical issues and status updates across geographically distributed teams
- Manage backup operations with minimal direct supervision




- Apply lessons learned from past issues to prevent repeated problems

Infrastructure Systems Administrator - Mandatory Skills:

- Ability to learn new technical skills in backup and restore infrastructure management
- Ability to follow documented procedures and take direction
- Independent work ethic with strong time management skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to ask for help when needed
- Strong communication skills for coordination across distributed teams
- Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and documentation

Infrastructure Systems Administrator – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Knowledge of backup systems architecture and how they operate
- Understanding of various database types
- Familiarity with SSH and file transfer utilities
- Command line interface experience
- Understanding of virtual machines and virtualization

Infrastructure Systems Administrator – Assignment Length: This is a 12 month contract position. Infrastructure Systems Administrator - Start Date: ASAP.

Infrastructure Systems Administrator - Assignment Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. This position is remote with on-site visits as required.
