Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Ltd is currently seeking a motivated Stormwater or Water Resources Engineer with 5-10 years of experience who is interested in growing their career in stormwater management planning and modelling. This is an opportunity to join our well-established stormwater management team within a growing firm focused on innovative projects across western Canada. We are leaders in watershed-based stormwater modelling and drainage assessments, including ISMPs, stormwater criteria applicability and policies, asset management decision-making, climate change adaptation, and green infrastructure design and implementation.

What You’ll Do

- Stormwater management planning including researching and understanding site context, developing criteria, and creating watershed and site-based integrated stormwater management plans;
- Working closely with municipal and other clients and undertaking stormwater-related projects;
- Managing client contacts and developing and building client relationships;
- Planning and concept design of stormwater and related infrastructure such as culverts, detention ponds,



and storm sewers, with a focus on green infrastructure design and implementation;
- Leading hydrologic/hydraulic modelling work (using PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, or other modelling platforms) for watershed and site-level stormwater projects and directing junior staff in modelling work;
- Training and supervising junior staff and modellers;
- Report and proposal writing; and
- Opportunities to pursue climate adaptation, project management, development of innovative analyses, tools and solutions, and collaborate on research initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

- A positive and motivated personality!
- Keen interest in innovative and client-focused problem-solving;
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia or other Canadian province;
- 5 to 10 years of experience in stormwater, water resources, hydrology/hydraulics, and related fields;
- Experience with SWMM-based software, InfoWorks ICM, or other modelling software and GIS environments;

- Strong technical writing and communication skills, including preparation of methodologies, technical memoranda, reports, proposals, presentations, figures, and other technical documentation.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary project delivery and client coordination, with the potential to take on Engineer of Record responsibilities would be an asset.
- Willingness to travel for occasional site visits.

Wage Range

- $106,200.00 - $122,400.00 wage dependent on years of experience
