We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Engineer or Planner to join our team in Greater Vancouver or Victoria. In this role, you will synthesize data into meaningful outcomes, provide water and wastewater engineering, planning, and analytical services, write competitive and non-competitive proposals, and support the planning and design of water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure.

Our work is focused on delivering technically sound, community-oriented solutions that support infrastructure sustainability and service delivery across Western Canada. You will work with staff in our Water Supply and Treatment and Stormwater sectors as well as with staff across sectors to support a mix of engaging projects related to receiving environment health, water conservation, forecasting, watershed planning, and the development and application of engineering, planning, and analytical tools. You are a detail-oriented Professional Engineer or Planner with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. You bring a solid foundation in civil or environmental engineering or planning and can manage assignments with limited oversight. You are comfortable developing and documenting technical methodologies and assumptions, interpreting complex analytical results, and translating them into practical engineering and planning recommendations.

You enjoy working collaboratively and take pride in contributing to high-quality project delivery. Strong communication skills enable you to effectively coordinate with team members, clients, and stakeholders to support successful project outcomes, and you are confident in preparing technical reports and documentation to a high professional standard.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and support water, wastewater, and stormwater planning studies,



including master plans, servicing strategies, feasibility studies, research, infrastructure assessments, and development of long-term capital and implementation strategies.
- Develop and evaluate infrastructure alternatives, policies, programs, and servicing strategies, considering technical feasibility, cost, environmental outcomes, regulatory requirements, and client objectives.
- Integrate engineering analyses, modelling results, monitoring data, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder input into practical infrastructure plans and recommendations.
- Lead and support forecasting, stormwater analysis, and water quality analysis for municipal, industrial, provincial, and First Nation clients.
- Compile, manage, analyze, and interpret large environmental, monitoring, operational, and infrastructure datasets to support engineering analyses and decision-making.
- Translate complex analyses into clear technical findings, visualizations, and practical engineering recommendations.
- Contribute to proposal writing and business development activities.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders including making presentations to clients and shareholders.
- Participate in internal knowledge sharing and external events (e.g., preparing presentations or technical articles), as capacity allows.

What You’ll Bring

- A positive, team-oriented, detail-oriented mindset with solid analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Registration as a PEng or RPP in BC or another Canadian province.
- 5–10 years of relevant engineering or planning experience in federal, provincial, municipal and/or First Nation infrastructure projects, preferably within a consulting environment.
- Some or all of the following technical experience in areas of water demand forecasting, stormwater, water and wastewater planning, stormwater analysis, and/or water quality analysis is an asset:
- Business case analysis, MCDA, or other alternatives comparison methodologies;
- Analytical and data visualization tools such as Excel, R, Python, or Tableau;
- GIS, SQL, GoldSim, hydraulic/hydrologic modelling software, or similar tools.

- Ability to translate complex datasets and modelling results into clear figures,



visualizations, conclusions, and practical engineering recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to independently lead technical analyses and modelling tasks, including planning the work, coordinating inputs, managing budgets and schedules, and delivering technically defensible results.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills, including preparation of methodologies, technical memoranda, reports, proposals, presentations, figures, and other technical documentation.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary project delivery and client coordination, with the potential to take on Professional of Record responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel for occasional site visits.

Wage Range

- $106,200.00 - $122,400.00, wage dependent on years of experience
