Position Overview

Pinnacle Networks is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Consultant to join our Managed Services team. This hands-on role focuses on advanced technical escalations, cybersecurity, Microsoft cloud and Azure, infrastructure, and project delivery.

The successful candidate will independently resolve complex issues while proactively identifying vulnerabilities, security gaps and infrastructure risks across managed customer environments. The role will also provide technical guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 resources and work directly with customers on technical and security requirements.

IT Infrastructure & Security Consultant

· Serve as a senior escalation point for complex incidents across server, network, cloud, endpoint, security, and business application environments.

· Support Microsoft and Google Environments. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.

· Support business class firewalls, switching, VLANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi, virtualization, backup/recovery, and business continuity solutions.

· Perform root-cause analysis, identify recurring issues and technical debt, and recommend practical corrective action.

· Work with customers, vendors, and internal resources to resolve complex or business-impacting technical issues.

· Work primarily onsite from Pinnacle Networks' local office and travel to customer locations for troubleshooting, assessments, installations, projects, and escalations as required.

Cybersecurity & Risk

· Proactively review customer environments for potential vulnerabilities, risky configurations, unsupported systems, missing monitoring, weak security controls, and other technical risks.

· Investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents including phishing, suspicious sign-ins, compromised accounts, malware, endpoint threats, and identity related events.

· Administer and improve endpoint protection, MDR, EDR/XDR, ITDR, email security, identity security, MFA, Conditional Access, and other managed security platforms.

· Review security monitoring across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Google Workspace endpoints, RMM, firewalls, backup platforms, and other managed systems.

· Support vulnerability remediation, security hardening,



security baselines, incident containment, recovery, and post-incident review.

· Translate identified risks into clear recommendations for management and customers and help drive remediation before they result in compromise or service disruption.

Microsoft & Google Cloud, AI & Automation

· Provide senior-level support for Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, identity management, cloud security, and related migrations.

· Evaluate practical AI and automation tools that can improve customer environments, monitoring, security, and service delivery.

· Support Microsoft Copilot and other Microsoft AI-enabled services where appropriate.

· Understand security, privacy, permissions, and data-protection considerations when implementing AI-enabled solutions.

Projects, Customers & Technical Leadership

· Lead or participate in infrastructure, Microsoft 365/Azure, Google Workspace, security, server, network, and migration projects.

· Review technical requirements, risks, dependencies, implementation plans, testing, documentation, and technical handoff.

· Communicate complex technical issues, risks, recommendations, and project status clearly to technical and non-technical customers.

· Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians to provide guidance during escalations and help improve internal technical documentation and standards.

· Maintain accurate tickets, projects, customer environment, and technical documentation.

· Identify opportunities to standardize environments, improve monitoring, reduce recurring issues, and transition repeatable work to Tier 1 or Tier 2.

Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma, certificate, degree, or equivalent qualified experience in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Networking, or related field.

· Minimum 5 years of progressive IT support, systems administration, infrastructure, or related technical experience.





· Demonstrated experience handling advanced technical troubleshooting, escalations, and customer infrastructure.

· Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Google Workspace, Active Directory, networking, and cloud security.

· Hands-on cybersecurity experience across endpoints, identity, email, cloud, network security, vulnerability management, and incident response.

· Experience with MDR, EDR/XDR, ITDR, security monitoring, MFA, Conditional Access, endpoint hardening, and security baselines.

· Experience supporting business-class firewalls, switches, VPNs, backup/recovery, RMM, and endpoint management platforms.

· Experience with CRM, PSA, ITSM, and ticketing platforms. ConnectWise experience is an asset.

· Previous Managed Services Provider (MSP) experience is a strong asset.

· Practical experience with AI-enabled business tools, Microsoft Copilot, automation, or emerging Microsoft AI technologies is an asset.

· Strong troubleshooting, documentation, organization, customer communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team environment.

· Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations as required.

· Willingness and ability to participate in after-hours/on-call escalation coverage when required.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
