The Opportunity:

Come join our team at Millennium Land Ltd; one of the largest and most dynamic land acquisition and environmental services companies in Western Canada. As a Junior Environmental Scientist your work will be approximately 70% field-based and 30% office-based. Specifically, primary duties will relate to Oil & Gas Reclamation and Remediation. You will report directly to the Manager of Reclamation and have the support of the entire Millennium team.

Responsibilities:

- Conducting Gas Migration and SCVF Testing




- Conducting Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II)
- Conducting work associated with wellsite and flowline abandonment
- Conducting Spill Response for Oil & Gas properties
- Groundwater well sampling and analysis
- Preparing formal reports and approval submissions
- Other duties as required.

What We Are Looking For:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma (degree in Agrology, Environmental Sciences, or similar field preferred)
- Hold, or be eligible for, certification from a Professional Organization (SIA, APEGS, SASTT, ASPB, etc.)
- Experience in the environmental field considered an asset
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan oil and gas sector
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Robust time management and organizational skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract

Desired Attributes (not required):

- Applicable, up to date Field Safety Tickets (First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, etc)
- Experience leading field crews and managing subcontractors is beneficial
- Experience with maintaining, calibrating, and using a variety of monitoring instruments
