Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients under supervision
- Support the setup and breakdown of banquet and catering events to ensure smooth service
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed in compliance with health and safety standards
- Clear tables, bussing dishes promptly during service hours to maintain a tidy dining environment
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping floors, sanitizing work surfaces, and waste disposal




- Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks when required and assist in maintaining stock levels of supplies

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations such as bussing, cleaning, and food preparation
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
- Prior banquet or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
