Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laboratory Manager to lead our laboratory operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily laboratory activities, ensure adherence to quality standards, and foster a collaborative environment that drives excellence. Your expertise in data collection, analysis skills, and laboratory experience will be essential in maintaining our reputation for accuracy and reliability.

Education Required

- High school diploma plus two years of experience in a commercial laboratory.

Responsibilities

- Manage the day-day operations of the Sample Preparation/Facility to ensure that staff meets company TAT
- Review service tickets to assist with identifying retraining requirements and needs
- Ensure staff understands and follows quality control procedures to meet requirements under ISO/IEC 17025/ISO 9001
- Investigate and follow up on non-conformances and complaints from Sample Preparation
- Bring forward ideas and best practices to V.P.
- Provide guidance, technical training to technicians/sample prep and documentation at the time of training
- Select, evaluate and dismiss employees for all aspects of Sample Preparation in collaboration with the HR Manager, Head Office and communicate with HR regarding HR matters
- Scheduling of employees, ensure production are met in Sample Preparation
- Maintain and replenish inventory by ordering and keeping track of supplies required
- Foster and maintain a positive environment by ensuring that all employees are treated with respect,



grievances are dealt in a timely manner and employees are communicated within an open manner. This would be in conjunction with HR
- Ensure that a secure, clean and efficient work environment in accordance with policies and procedures-ensure compliance with all safety requirements and procedures

Qualifications

- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to multitask and to meet deadlines
- Work well under pressure
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Proven time management skills, takes initiative
- Problem-solver and provide suggestions and actions on the next plausible step
- Quality driven, dynamic motivated and pro-active
- Exhibit willingness to display effort to meet company goals of improved TAT, quality and reduce costs
- Demonstrate willingness to work overtime if required to complete projects
- Ability to work as a team and work well independently
- Robust interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

Pay: $63,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
