Position Summary The Labour Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the execution of daily crop activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and to the expected quality standard. This role will report to the Operations Manager, and will coordinate with multiple teams, including Supervisors, Shipping and Site Growers, to maintain seamless workflow and meet operational objectives.

Responsibilities

Daily Operations

- Lead and oversee the execution of daily crop activities such as sticking cuttings, transplanting, potting, sticking orchids, sleeving, shipping, and other greenhouse tasks as required.
- Ensure all activities are completed on time, meeting efficiency and quality standards.
- Monitor workflow, address bottlenecks, and implement solutions to maintain productivity.

Coordination and Communication

- Collaborate daily with the Operations Manager and Site Growers to align task priorities and schedules.
- Communicate updates, challenges, and progress to relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and problem-solving.

Workforce Leadership

- Provide clear direction to team members and subordinate Supervisors/Lead Hands to execute tasks effectively,



fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Train, coach, and support team members to enhance performance and maintain consistency in task execution.
- Provide effective feedback, coaching & mentoring with clear KPIs.
- Partner with the Operations Manager and fellow Site Growers to design and implement robust quality control measures (KPIs).
- Identify and lead process improvement, cost saving, and operational efficiency initiatives

Quality Assurance

- Monitor the quality of all crop activities, ensuring adherence to company standards and protocols.
- Proactively address quality issues, escalating concerns to Site Growers or other relevant parties as needed.

Safety and Compliance

- Promote and uphold safe work practices in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and take corrective action to maintain a protected working environment.

Other Duties

- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support overall greenhouse operations and organizational goals.

Required skills & Key Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in horticulture, agriculture, manufacturing, or a relevant field
- Experience in greenhouse operations, agriculture,



or horticulture production.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams to meet operational goals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices is required.
- Knowledge of Spanish is required.

POSITION DETAILS

- Pay – CAD $25-$28 per hour
- Permanent, Full-time, In office
- Weekends & Overtime as required
- Must have reliable transportation.
