Role Description The Lead Cloud Security Analyst – CNAPP is a full-time, in office role based in Ontario, Canada. This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud-native application protection platforms (CNAPP) across OpenText’s cloud environments. Day-to-day activities include assessing cloud security posture, analyzing threats and vulnerabilities, reviewing application and network security configurations, and coordinating incident response for cloud-based workloads.

The analyst collaborates with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to embed security controls into cloud architectures,



define secure coding and deployment practices, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. The role also involves preparing detailed security reports, providing guidance on risk mitigation, and mentoring other team members on cloud security best practices and emerging threats.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in cybersecurity, including experience with cloud security frameworks, risk assessment, and threat modeling.
- Expertise in application security, such as secure SDLC practices, code review for security issues, and protecting cloud-native applications and APIs.
- Advanced analytical skills for interpreting complex security data, investigating incidents, and making evidence-based recommendations.
- Knowledge of network security principles and technologies, including segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity in cloud environments.
- Experience with malware analysis or threat intelligence, including identifying malicious behaviors and supporting incident response activities.
- Hands-on experience with CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, or similar cloud security platforms (e.g., tools from major cloud providers or specialized vendors).
- Familiarity with major cloud providers (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their native security services and controls.
- Understanding of relevant security standards and regulations (such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or regional privacy laws).
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate complex security concepts
