About The Role We’re actively searching for a Lead Hand, Autonomous Hardware & Radio to join the Côté Gold Team, start date to be confirmed, reporting to the Supervisor, Informational- Operational Technology. This role bridges Operations, Maintenance, and IT/OT, leading the team in maintaining and optimizing autonomous hardware and wireless communication systems. This role supports IMG’s purpose by ensuring reliable, safe, and high-performing mining technology systems. Through strong leadership and technical expertise, it enables effective autonomous operations, enhances communication networks, and drives operational efficiency and innovation across the autonomous haulage and drill fleet.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support the AHRT team in installing, maintaining, and repairing autonomous hardware, wired/wireless communications, VHF/UHF systems, and fleet management technologies to ensure reliable operations.




- Oversee commissioning and maintenance of high-precision machine guidance systems, microwave networks, and autonomous fleet communication infrastructure.
- Plan daily work activities, ensure availability of critical spares, and coordinate preventative maintenance to meet safety and operational requirements.
- Coordinate team scheduling, shift coverage, and work prioritization to ensure adequate support for operational requirements, maintenance activities, and planned outages.
- Develop and implement maintenance frameworks, SOPs, and cybersecurity-conscious practices to protect network integrity and minimize operational delays.
- Establish emergency response procedures and provide training, safety topics, and continuous development opportunities for team members.
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot network issues, and deliver timely solutions to reduce downtime in a mission-critical environment.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships, acting as the primary liaison between Operations, Maintenance, and IT/OT while mentoring team members and ensuring effective communication.
- Drive innovation by evaluating recent technologies, conducting pilot programs, and implementing system improvements that enhance network performance, reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.

Job Qualifications Key Skills & Knowledge

- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- College diplomas or university degrees in a related field such electrical or communications.
- Autonomous systems technology is considered an asset.

Relevant Experience

- 5 or more years of experience as an electrician or 5 or more years of experience supporting communications infrastructure (Ethernet, fiber-optic, radio, microwave, wireless).
- Experience with Fleet Management Systems, Autonomous Mining Systems, High Precision Machine Guidance, Cisco Wi-Fi and LTE Radio Systems are considered an asset.
- Experience installing, maintaining and fault-finding radio communications equipment and Fleet Management Systems is considered an asset.




- Mining experience may be considered an asset but is not required.

Skills & Strengths, We Value

- An aptitude for learning technical material and are detail orientated.
- Understanding of Microwave PTP, PTMP-based radio and antennae systems; and
- Effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and Technical Specifications.

Salary Range: $89,0000-$133,500 + bonus The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
