Gas Technician – Road Service Ottawa, ON | Full-Time | $32 to $40/hr + guaranteed 42.5 hrs/week

Alessi Search Group is recruiting on behalf of our client in Ottawa, Ontario. They're adding a licensed Gas Technician to their team for a road-based service role — heading out to job sites to keep heating equipment running safely and to code.

You'll work on a mix of natural gas, propane, diesel, and electric-fired heaters, out in the field where the work actually happens.

Your Day-to-Day:

Service & Repairs

- Diagnose and repair natural gas, propane, diesel, and electric heaters
- Handle all gas-related inspections, testing, and repairs to Ontario gas codes and TSSA regulations
- Drive to customer sites and get equipment back up and running on-site

Quality & Fleet Health

- Make sure every unit is safe, compliant, and working before you leave a site
- Read and work from owner's manuals and schematics
- Keep service records and parts documentation accurate

Team & Customer Support

- Coach junior technicians on service and repair priorities
- Talk with customers, explain the work,



and sort out concerns
- Share input on when older units are no longer worth repairing

You're a Great Fit If You Have:

- A valid TSSA Ontario G2 licence (G1 is even better)
- 5–7 years working with heating equipment — gas, electrical, hydronics, oil
- A valid Ontario G license and a clean driving record
- The ability to lift and load 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Solid mechanical aptitude and solid electrical understanding
- Confidence working on your own out on the road

Bonus points for:

- Construction or industrial heater experience
- Comfort working through the busy winter heating season
