Historia Cantina is a Latin American inspired tapas restaurant and bar, located in the historic Old Mill on Schomberg's Main Street. Our restaurant is growing quickly, and we are looking for a dedicated SENIOR SOUS CHEF to grow with us!

THE ROLE: The LINE COOK is responsible for safely preparing dishes required for the full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate must have previous kitchen experience, and be motivated by a desire to progress in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

RESPONSIBILITES

- Preparing food (chopping, peeling, cutting) for service,



and stocking cooking station with necessary ingredients
- Following recipes provided by the Chef, and executing the dishes in a timely and accurate manner whilst adhering to any dietary needs and details
- Ascertain the quality and freshness of products
- Monitor stock and log shortages
- Assist the chef with planning special events menus and daily features
- Keep a clean workstation; understand and abide by Health and Safety standards and Food Safe requirements
