About us

We're a Laval-based transportation group specializing in fresh and frozen food freight across Canada and into the US and Mexico. We hold HACCP, SQF and BNQ certifications. Our asset fleet of 15 trucks and 30 trailers runs alongside our brokerage, and we need a dispatcher who can keep it moving, compliant and profitable.

What you'll do

- Plan and dispatch daily loads for a fleet of 15 trucks and 30 trailers balancing driver hours, equipment and delivery appointments

- Track every truck in real time, with a focus on reefer temperatures and set points. Act fast on alarms, excursions and delays.

- Be the drivers' main point of contact for routing, pickup and delivery problems, breakdowns, and appointment info

- Build loaded miles and cut empty miles by working with the brokerage team on backhauls

- Keep Tailwind TMS + internal systems accurate: load status, stops, detention, proof of delivery and accessorials

- Coordinate maintenance and repairs so equipment downtime doesn't wreck the plan

- Keep account managers and coordinators informed about delays before they have to ask

What you bring

- 2+ years of truck dispatch experience.



Temperature-controlled or food-grade experience is a solid asset.

- Working knowledge of Hours-of-Service, ELDs, and reefer units

- Fluent French and English is required because you'll deal daily with drivers, customers and receivers.

- Comfortable with a TMS, google docs and Excel

- Calm when things go wrong. You make decisions quickly and own them.

- Organized enough to run a dozen moving pieces without dropping one

Nice to have

- Tailwind TMS experience

- Knowledge of HACCP or food safety requirements

- Relationships with Quebec repair shops or roadside service providers

- $55K–$65K base salary
