LOCKSMITH APPRENTICE – FULL TIME

Gallazin Locksmiths – Nanaimo, BC

We are looking for a reliable, motivated Locksmith Apprentice to join our team. This is a full-time entry-level position for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to learn a skilled trade.

What You'll Learn

Under the guidance of experienced locksmiths, you will learn skills including:

- Cutting and duplicating keys
- Making keys for locks
- Lock repair and servicing
- Lock installation and adjustment
- Lock picking and other locksmith techniques
- Using locksmith tools and equipment
- Customer service and day-to-day locksmith shop operations

What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's licence required
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Clean criminal record
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools
- Good attention to detail
- Robust customer service skills
- Works well with others
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers





The Job As an apprentice, your responsibilities will include both learning locksmith skills and helping with the day-to-day operation of the shop. Duties will include running errands, receiving and organizing products, keeping the shop clean and organized, assisting customers, and helping experienced locksmiths while you develop your skills.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn a specialized trade. As your locksmith skills and responsibilities increase, your wage will increase accordingly.

Compensation

Full time position

Training wage to start, with wage increases as skills and proficiency progress.
