About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in shipping and receiving operations, inventory management, warehouse organization, and equipment maintenance.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining an organized warehouse, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.
- Coordinate shipments and communicate with transportation carriers.
- Receive inbound shipments and unload containers safely and efficiently.
- Verify received inventory against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Complete receiving reports and submit documentation to the Purchasing department.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Prepare and submit required weekly and monthly reports to management.
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain organized sorting, boxing, and audit processes.
- Put away received inventory in designated storage locations.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation procedures.
- Conduct weekly inventory counts and submit reports to Purchasing.
- Participate in semi-annual physical inventory counts of the entire warehouse.
- Ensure products are properly organized, shelved, and easily accessible.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional warehouse environment.
- Keep inventory packaging clean and in good condition.
- Complete scheduled warehouse tasks and assignments on time.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on forklifts and warehouse equipment, including battery watering and greasing.
- Report maintenance or repair requirements for equipment, forklifts, or building facilities to management.
- Regularly clean warehouse floor, shelves and the content
Qualifications & Skills
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or related role an asset.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting boxes, unloading trucks, and moving inventory.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work with other interoffice departments.
- Ability to work efficiently.
- Professional and courteous communication skills with coworkers, clients and drivers.
- Basic computer proficiency, including:
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Comfortable using warehouse tablets, apps, and inventory systems.
- Experience navigating carrier and transportation websites.
- Bilingual (English and French) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required Certification
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (required).
