Hunter Ford is looking for an experienced Lube Technician and/or 2nd or 3rd Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our Service Department.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lube Technician looking to take the next step in their automotive career or an apprentice looking to continue building their hands-on experience toward becoming a licensed 310S Automotive Service Technician.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on your experience and apprenticeship level, responsibilities may include:

- Performing oil and filter changes and routine maintenance services
- Completing tire rotations, seasonal tire changes and tire repairs
- Inspecting and adjusting tire pressures
- Performing basic brake inspections and repairs under appropriate supervision
- Checking and topping up vehicle fluids
- Replacing filters, bulbs, wiper blades and other maintenance items
- Performing battery testing and replacement
- Assisting with vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Completing basic mechanical repairs appropriate to your experience and apprenticeship level
- Assisting licensed technicians with diagnostics and more complex repairs
- Performing multi-point vehicle inspections
- Identifying maintenance or repair concerns and communicating findings to the Service Department
- Maintaining accurate repair order information
- Keeping your work area, tools and equipment clean, organized and safe
- Following dealership procedures and all applicable health and safety requirements
- Participating in manufacturer, dealership and apprenticeship training as required
- Other related duties as assigned





What We're Looking For

- Previous automotive shop or lube technician experience is preferred
- 2nd or 3rd Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentices are encouraged to apply
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and a clean driving record
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment and hand/power tools
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, punctual and organized
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy dealership environment
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety

Compensation & Perks
