Responsibilities and Duties:

- Perform operational checks on equipment and systems

- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and facility to identify potential issues or areas of improvement

- Maintaining and servicing plant equipment and fixtures to ensure proper function.

- Carryout regular preventive maintenance on equipment/fixtures/tools to mitigate major damage

- Work with peers and management to develop, implement and refine Preventative Maintenance actions for manufacturing equipment

- Diagnose and repair or replace worn parts in equipment

- Learn and gain expertise on new equipment and processes

- Organize and maintain maintenance areas and stockroom

- Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.

- Document all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements

- Detect and investigate variance in performance of equipment, utilities, systems and/or facilities to ensure proper functioning.

- Perform mechanical or electrical installation, modification, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of site equipment, systems and/or facilities:

- Able to read mechanical, electrical and pneumatic blueprints, drawings, and schematics

- Perform routine testing of electrical equipment to evaluation proper function

- Perform preventive and brake-down maintenance all plant equipment

- Perform regular machine shop operations using assigned power tools

- Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, identifying opportunities for optimization or upgrades

- Plans installations from blueprints, sketches and specifications and installs all mechanical, electrical and electronic devices.

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and equipment by collaborate with maintenance lead hand





- Perform maintenance inspections on all machinery during plant closures

- During peak periods or emergencies, perform overtime as required

- Ensure that all records of machine repairs and lockouts are maintained and filed

- On call for any plant emergency repairs during off work hours

- Report safety incidents or near misses promptly and participate in incident investigations.

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

- Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

- Valid Ontario 433A Millwright Certification.

- An Ontario Trades Certificate and College Diploma in a related Maintenance discipline.

- Three (3) years related Millwright experience.

- Knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal legislation and codes.

- Ability to utilize tools, equipment, and measuring/calibration/diagnostic devices.

- Read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, specifications and technical manuals.

- Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures and the ability to rely on past experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals by finding practical solutions.

- Applied technical skills, knowledge and experience to identify, recommend and implement improvements to equipment, utilities, systems and facilities.

- Possess valid Lift Truck, Scissor Lift Operator and Working at Heights certificate (including TSSA Propane Handling ROT)
