POSITION SUMMARY
Panorama Hills Residents Association is looking for a self-motivated maintenance worker to assist the Maintenance Manager with the overall maintenance of the Panorama Hills Community Centre (PHCC) , the community centre park and the Direct Control (DC)sites throughout Panorama Hills Community.

This position reports to: Maintenance Manager
Hours of Work – The Panorama Hills Community Centre is operational 365 days/year The Maintenance Worker is a full time permanent position with 40 work hours per week. Due to the 365 day/year operational model of the PHCC, the Maintenance worker will be required to work some evenings, holidays and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for the opening/closing of the facility
· Assist with all responsibilities in maintaining the PHRA facility, grounds and specific equipment
· During Winter months, assist in snow removal and sanding/graveling of icy steps and/or walkways around the PHRA premises and throughout the community
· During Summer months, assist in mowing/trimming of turf, garbage pickup, hedge trimming, tree and shrub pruning, weed control, watering, laying sod, seeding, tree and shrub planting and general landscaping on all PHRA sites
· Assist with the operation of the Splash Park during the summer, this will require atmospheric testing and routine maintenance
· General building maintenance and cleaning
· Complete various repairs and maintenance as required
· Equipment preventative maintenance
· Ice maintenance in outdoor rinks,
· Operates vehicles and equipment necessary to perform grounds maintenance and landscaping duties
· Ensures safe working procedures and conditions exist at all times
· Conforms to all PHRA regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures
· Adheres to the PHRA Safety Program at all times
· Monitor and enforce the housekeeping and safety standards
· Conducts self in an appropriate manner while carrying out duties while representing the company
· Communicate effectively and courteously with staff, residents, and the general public
· Assist with completing special projects, as designated by the maintenance team supervisors
· Other related duties as assigned
Required Skills – The following skills are necessary for the Maintenance Assistant:
· Class 5 drivers license with Clean drivers abstract and Clean Insurance letter
· Police security clearance with vulnerability search
- At least 2 years Landscape experience
- Ability to take direction, learn and work independently
- Computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Basic mechanical skills. Able to operate machinery and complete minor repairs.
· Must be able to work flexible hours as required including holidays and weekends · Honesty, stability and punctuality are essential
