The Safety Codes Council plays a critical role in Alberta's structural and technical safety system. Through certification, professional development, and high-quality learning experiences, we help support the professionals responsible for keeping Albertans safe.

We're looking for a Manager, Education Excellence to lead the team responsible for education programs that support certification and professional development across Alberta's safety codes system.

This role is ideal for a leader who combines expertise in adult learning and program development with a people-focused approach to leadership. You'll lead a talented team of education professionals, guide education priorities, strengthen partnerships, and help ensure education remains relevant, accessible, and responsive to learner and system needs.

What You'll Do

- Lead and develop a high-performing team by creating belonging and clarity, capability, and accountability.
- Guide education strategy and priorities using learner needs, certification requirements, stakeholder insights, and evidence.
- Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of education programs and learning experiences.
- Foster strong partnerships with educational institutions, industry partners, subject matter experts, and internal teams.
- Support continuous improvement by using feedback, performance information,



and service insights to strengthen education outcomes and learner experiences.

What You'll Bring

- Post-secondary education in education, adult education, instructional design, curriculum development, learning and development, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Progressive experience in education, training, curriculum development, learning program management, or a related discipline.
- Experience leading and developing people and achieving results through others.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum development, instructional design, and education quality.
- A collaborative leadership style grounded in trust, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.
