About Happy HeadHappy Head is the global leader in dermatologist-prescribed hair medicine. As the leading telemedicine platform focused exclusively on hair growth, we provide powerful, personalized treatments prescribed and overseen only by board-certified dermatologists, the highest authority in hair and scalp health.
About the RoleWe're hiring a Manual QA Tester to help ensure the quality and reliability of our telehealth e-commerce platform. This is a contract position focused on hands-on testing of web experiences from patient onboarding flows to checkout and subscription management.
You'll work alongside engineering and product teams to catch issues before they reach real patients, using both traditional QA instincts and modern AI tools to work smarter and faster.
This role is ideal for a detail-obsessed tester who understands that quality is a product value and who's excited to bring AI tooling into their QA workflow.
What You'll Do
- Execute manual test cases across web surfaces, including critical user flows like onboarding, consultations, checkout, and account management
- Document bugs clearly and thoroughly (steps to reproduce, severity, environment, screenshots)
- Use AI tools to assist with test case generation, coverage analysis, and regression triage
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand feature specs and edge cases before testing begins
- Perform regression testing after releases and hotfixes to ensure no existing functionality is broken
- Flag patterns in defects and surface quality risks proactively, not just reactively
- Contribute to improving test plans, documentation, and QA processes over time
What You Might Work On
- End-to-end patient flows: photo submissions, questionnaires, prescription handoffs
- Checkout and subscription billing surfaces where bugs have direct revenue impact
- AI-assisted test generation using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar to expand coverage quickly
- Cross-browser and cross-device testing across Chrome, and Safari
- Telehealth compliance-adjacent UX (e.g., consent flows, intake forms)
- New feature launches and A/B experiment validation
You Might Be a Fit If You…
- Have 2–5 years of manual QA experience on consumer web products
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports
- Have strong instincts for edge cases and "what could go wrong" scenarios
- Are already using (or genuinely curious to use) AI tools in your QA process
- Can work independently and manage your own testing priorities in a fast-moving workplace
- Care about user experience and can spot UX issues, not just functional bugs
Bonus Points
- Experience with AI-assisted QA workflows (test generation via LLMs, anomaly detection, prompt-based coverage review)
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, QA Wolf
- Exposure to basic automation concepts or E2E testing frameworks like Playwright or Cypress
- Experience in telehealth, e-commerce, or subscription-based products
Why This RoleYou won't just run test scripts. You'll own quality on a product that affects real patients making real health decisions. This role is for someone who sees AI not as a threat to QA, but as a force multiplier. If you care about catching what matters, shipping with confidence, and building a QA practice that actually keeps up with a high-velocity team, this is that role.
