- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break. The standard start time is 8:00 a.m.; however, start times may vary between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. based on operational requirements, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment availability, and emergency service needs.
- Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required.

Looking to turn your mechanical skills into a specialized technical career? Lineage is building an internal Material Handling Equipment (MHE) maintenance team supporting multiple Montreal-area facilities. We are looking for a mechanically inclined technician who wants to develop into an MHE specialist.

Previous forklift experience is not required. Candidates with hands-on experience or training in automotive repair, garage door repair, electromechanics, industrial maintenance, tool or equipment repair, electrical/mechanical assembly, or other related technical trades are encouraged to apply. MHE-specific training and mentorship will be provided.

The MHE Technician will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on powered industrial trucks and related equipment. As skills develop, the role will expand to include additional material handling and warehouse equipment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), inspections, basic troubleshooting, and repairs on electric powered industrial trucks (PITs).
- Assist with diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, steering, braking, and control-system issues under the guidance of the senior technician as required.
- Perform repairs including motors, hydraulic components, mast assemblies, lift chains, wheels, tires, electrical components, sensors, operator controls, forks, and safety devices.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair lead-acid and lithium-ion battery systems, chargers, and associated components.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and help restore equipment to service safely and efficiently.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and respond appropriately to emergency service needs.
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, labour, parts usage,



and equipment status in the CMMS. Training on the required system will be provided.
- Communicate equipment status and repair progress clearly to the senior technician and operations teams.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), battery-handling requirements, and applicable site safety practices.
- Assist with maintenance of additional warehouse equipment as the internal maintenance program grows.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

- Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability and a willingness to develop stronger electrical and hydraulic diagnostic skills.
- Hands-on mechanical experience or technical training in a technical field.
- Comfort using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a systematic approach to troubleshooting.
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage assigned work while communicating when support or escalation is required.
- Comfortable learning from a senior technician and asking questions while skills are being developed.
- Basic computer skills. Previous CMMS experience is an asset, but training will be provided.
- Valid Class 5 Quebec Driver’s Licence.

Experience That Would Be an Asset - Not a Requirement

- Previous forklift or material handling equipment maintenance experience.
- Tire/oil change experience & automotive diagnostic or repair experience.
- Experience with Raymond or other electric forklift brands.
- Heavy equipment or mobile equipment repair experience.
- Industrial mechanics or electromechanics training.
- Electrical troubleshooting, multimeter use, or reading wiring diagrams.
- Hydraulic or pneumatic systems experience.
- Welding or light fabrication experience.
