Position Summary The Events & Fundraising Assistant works to drive the success of fundraising events and provide administrative support to further the mission of the Deep River and District Health Foundation. This individual is responsible for a wide array of tasks including event planning and coordination support, customer service, administrative support, and volunteer coordination. The Events & Fundraising Assistant liaises with third-party event organizers, manages sponsorship relationships, and works to maintain and update donor database.
Position Relationships
Reporting to the Foundation Executive Director, the Events & Fundraising Assistant works directly with a variety of stakeholders including current and prospective donors, Deep River and District Health (DRDH) staff, patients, residents, the general public, community partners, and other third-party interest groups in order to advance fundraising goals.
Position Responsibilities
Event Management
- Coordinate aspects of signature Foundation events to meet fundraising objectives, from initial planning to final execution
- Orchestrate event schedules and programs to create seamless and impactful experiences for participants, volunteers, and donors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and lead organizer for all day-of event activities
- Actively recruit and cultivate relationships with corporate sponsors, securing both cash and in-kind contributions, and meticulously ensuring that all sponsorship commitments are fulfilled to sponsors' satisfaction.
- Help event participants with the registration process by email, phone, or in-person
- Coordinate relationships with external vendors and suppliers in support of events
- Develop and execute event marketing plans to attract maximum participation
- Lead event volunteer recruitment, training, and management, and oversee the successful execution of volunteer-related event tasks.
- Facilitate and contribute to signature and third-party event committee meetings, providing organizational insight and ensuring that event plans are aligned with organization objectives
- Serve as a liaison between the Foundation and third-party event organizers, ensuring cohesive coordination and representation at external events, including speaking engagements, booth operations, and cheque presentations.

Donor Relations
- Provide exceptional customer service for all donors, volunteers, partners, and the public
- Regularly perform gratitude procedures to recognize donors and volunteers
- Coordinate planning and creation of content on social media platforms and newsletters, ensuring that all communications align with the Foundation's values and objectives.
- Monitor accounts on social media platforms
- Assist in the preparation of direct mail campaigns

- Qualifications
Education
- Diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, Marketing & Advertising, Event Management, Fundraising or equivalent experience, preferably in the charitable or non-profit sector.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years relevant event planning, marketing, sales, and/or administrative experience, preferably working for a non-profit or in the healthcare sector

The Opportunity

Department Diagnostic Imaging Hours Variable Shifts Within OPSEU Paramedical Description Position Summary Performs ultrasound testing as described in the departmental manuals. All procedures will be done in a manner that meets the departmental standards of timeliness, quality and efficiency.
Position Relationships
Reports directly to the Manager of Clinical Services - Acute Care. Works closely with Radiologists, Charge Technician and all Diagnostic Imaging Staff. Interacts with all departments and Medical Staff.
Duties: Performs routine and emergency procedures in accordance with established methods as described in the departmental procedure manuals. Knows the principles of operation, the proper operation of, and the care and maintenance of all equipment used within the department.
Maintains a complete and accurate record of all diagnostic tests performed. Is responsible for direct patient contact, including patient instruction and patient documentation. Adheres to all policies and procedures.
Supports and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of Deep River and District Health. Other duties may be assigned and may not be limited to the scope of an individual department.
Qualifications: Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required. Active registration with Sonography Canada required. Demonstrated excellent time management, organization, communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work independently, as well as function effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team required. Computer literacy required.
