We are an independent Optometry office in Kitchener, Ontario looking for someone with customer service experience who is patient and enthusiastic. We are looking for someone who is available full time (4-5 days/week) and long term. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast paced workplace and able to work well in a team. They will be responsible for assisting patients with their eyecare needs and providing exceptional service and education.
Our office is busy with 3 Exam lanes and 4 Optometrists. Experience in an optometric/ophthalmic setting is NOT required. Training in all areas of our practice will be provided. We are equipped with OCT, digital retinal imaging, Humphrey's visual field analyzer, Myah Biometer, Auto-Keratometry/Refraction, iCare tonometry and eVisionCare EMR system.
This position will include pre/post testing, front desk reception, glasses selection and adjustment, Contact lens training,
and administrative tasks. We work as a team to provide the best care to our patients.
Qualifications
- Mature and confident communication with patients, colleagues, and Optometrists, in person and on the phone
- Experience interacting with people from different backgrounds
- Able to complete tasks amongst interruptions.
- Comfortable asking questions when unsure of the proper procedure
