Packaging Worker – Full Time

Smith's Quality Meats is a locally owned and federally inspected meat production plant producing a diverse portfolio of products including deli meats, sausages, burgers, and steaks.

We are currently hiring Packaging Workers for full-time positions. Previous experience in food or meat production is an asset but is not required. Training will be provided.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Start time: No earlier than 6:00 AM
- End time: No later than 4:00 PM
- Exact working hours will be determined based on production requirements and operational needs
- Full-time hours

What You’ll Do

- Package meat products according to established procedures
- Weigh and portion products accurately
- Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Label and date products correctly
- Inspect products and packaging for quality and accuracy
- Pack finished products into boxes and containers
- Move packaged products to designated storage areas
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures




- Work as part of a team to meet daily production requirements
- Perform other general production duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

- Experience in food or meat production is an asset but not required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Able to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Good attention to detail
- Valuable teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
