Job Summary

As a Painter, you will manage time-lines, materials, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic planning, making it ideal for an experienced professional with a background in paint spraying, time management, positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and supervise painting projects from inception to completion, including assigning tasks to team members and monitoring progress.
- Lead and mentor a team of painters, training, performance evaluations, and addressing any personnel issues.
- Estimate materials, labor, and costs for projects; prepare budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
- Enforce safety protocols, quality control standards, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., WCB guidelines).
- Manage inventory of paints, tools, and equipment; oversee maintenance and procurement as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records, including time sheets, payroll, project documentation,



and reports.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly and ensure all work meets or exceeds client expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum 3 years of experience in painting or related trades, 2 years spray finishing.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, equipment, and safety practices.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- Certifications such as fall protection, MEWP (arial platform), first aid aren't required but are an asset.
