Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

Part-Time Academic for Cape Breton University Lab ( NURS 5740: Advanced Health Assessment).

Instructors are responsible for teaching and supervising a group of BScN students who provide direct client care in clinical settings, work in a clinical skills and simulation lab or tutorial group setting. Tasks include but are not limited to lab demonstrations, marking and proctoring term tests and final examinations as well as evaluating assignments.

Clinical Instructors will report to the instructor of record for their course and work under the protection of CUPE Collective Agreement 3912 – Dalhousie University. Document can be accessed via https://cupe.ca/local/cupe-3912-dalhousie-university .

LAB ASSISTANT : Not to exceed 64 hrs

Format: Weekly in-person lab sessions

Location: Cape Breton University, Sydney

Qualifications/Requirements Of Position

- This role requires a graduate degree as Nurse Practitioner, an active RN license with the NSNMR , as well as two years of recent experience.
- Access to a computer (no tablet/iPad/phone) with working internet to run Microsoft Teams for online meetings and instruction is required.

Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement

All offers of employment as a Part-Time Academic are conditional upon sufficient student enrolment in the course and approval by the University.
