Hearts Choices is looking for an experienced cook to join us at Calgary Farmers’ Market West every second weekend. We’re passionate about making plant based food exciting, approachable, and delicious, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of changing how people think about food.

Kitchen experience is a must. You’ll be working independently in our small, deli counter style kitchen, preparing up to 80 orders per shift and taking responsibility for the kitchen from setup through closing. That means keeping prep stocked, managing order timing, maintaining consistent quality and presentation, and staying on top of dishes, cleaning, sanitizing, and all the daily duties that keep a kitchen running well.

If you enjoy finding your rhythm, keeping an organized station, and knowing what needs doing without waiting to be asked, this could be a outstanding fit. You’re comfortable handling a rush on your own, but you also understand that you’re part of a team. Clear communication, a friendly attitude, and care for the people around you matter just as much as the food you send out.





We appreciate people who show up reliably, take pride in their work, and are open to learning. When something goes wrong, you can own it, help find a solution, and move forward. You care about giving customers a meal they’ll come back for, and you bring that same care to leaving a clean, organized kitchen for the next shift.

The schedule is every second weekend, Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the potential for one additional shift each week at our restaurant or a market location. We’re looking for someone who can consistently commit to both days on their scheduled weekends and whose availability makes this a good ongoing fit.
