ABOUT THE ROLE

At The Stock Market, we’ve been a Granville Island Public Market staple since 1986, making and serving our house-made soups, stocks, sauces, dressings, and other prepared foods to generations of customers.

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable part-time team member who enjoys great food, connecting with customers, and working in a busy market environment.

You’ll be helping customers discover our products, serving food, operating the till, keeping the counter stocked and inviting, and working alongside our team to provide the warm, knowledgeable service our customers have come to expect.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable customer service
- Make product recommendations and confidently suggest additional items
- Serve food items while following food safety standards
- Operate the till and process cash and card transactions accurately
- Package and prepare products for customers
- Keep the counter, display areas, and showcase clean, organized, and well stocked
- Restock products and supplies throughout the day
- Maintain a clean and inviting customer-facing environment
- Work collaboratively with the team during busy market periods

- Previous food service
- Weekend availability is required
