We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and compassionate Part-Time Oral Surgery Assistant to join our busy oral surgery practice.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable assisting with a wide variety of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, from routine surgical extractions to more complex procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

- Assisting the oral surgeon with all types of surgical procedures
- Preparing treatment and surgical rooms
- Setting up and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment
- Assisting with procedures under local anesthesia, IV sedation, and General Anesthesia
- Preparing patients for surgery and assisting with post-operative care
- Assisting with patient monitoring and recovery
- Providing excellent patient care and reassurance throughout the surgical experience
- Maintaining proper sterilization, infection-control, and safety protocols
- Taking and recording patient information and vital signs as required
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully prepared surgical environment
- Anticipating the surgeon's needs and working efficiently as part of a surgical team





QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous dental assisting or oral surgery experience preferred
- Comfortable assisting with a wide range of oral surgery procedures
- Experience with surgical extractions and other oral surgical procedures
- Comfortable working with local anesthesia, IV sedation, and General Anesthesia
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, room setup, and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Dependable, professional, organized, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
