The Position

The Payroll Administrator will accurately process the biweekly payroll on time, and in accordance with established practices and company policy. The incumbent will ensure compliance is maintained with all required legislation and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

Payroll Processing

- Administer bi-weekly Canadian and US payroll for approximately 600 employees using Ceridian Dayforce.
- Monitor timesheet accuracy and completeness, follow up with employees and managers in a timely manner for corrections.
- Calculate and verify accuracy of irregular earnings and deductions in Dayforce
- Reconcile all payroll inputs to appropriate source information
- Review payroll outputs for accuracy, investigate discrepancies and make appropriate corrections
- Process garnishments
- Calculate and process taxable perks, statutory holiday pay, shift premium, on call, employee tool loans
- Process Records of Employment




- Create the payroll journal entry and enter in Sage 50
- Calculate and remit WSIB premiums

Month End/Year End

- Calculate and remit monthly WSIB premiums
- Process benefit invoices and reconcile employee monthly premiums to pay period deductions
- Understand pension adjustment calculations and review accuracy on T4s
- Administer year end payroll forms such as T4s and T2200s
- Perform annual reconciliations for EHT and WSIB
- Review PIER report and process corrections as required
- Review Dayforce configuration (pay calendars, statutory holidays, earnings and deductions)
- Update benefit plans costs in Dayforce
- Review Dayforce entitlement rollovers (vacation), and process annual vacation payouts
- Attend NPI’s year end payroll seminar. Communicate payroll legislation changes with Director of Finance.

What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or Bookkeeping
- PCP Certification
- 5 years of payroll experience required
- Ceridian Dayforce
- Sage 50 Accounting Software
- Microsoft Excel (formulas: v-lookups, sumifs)
