Job Summary

POSITION: Plumber

FTE: 8hr Shift - Days

RATE OF PAY: $40.36/hour

START DATE: As soon as possible

Nature & Scope Of Position

Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will:

- Install, repair and maintain plumbing/heating systems and fixtures in GECDSB buildings.
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing/heating systems water supply networks and drainage and waste systems.
- Plan, install and service plumbing/heating systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- A skilled trades Certificate of Qualification as a Plumber.
- Must be a member in good standing with the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada and the Ontario College of Trades.
- Preference will be given to those candidates with the following: G-2 gas license, Pneumatic/Electronic controls experience, Back-flow Prevention License, H.V.A.C. certification and experience.
