Our Play Café will be opening October 2026 -- Join the opening team!

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable team member to help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for children and their families at our Play Café.

If you enjoy working with people, are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and can think quickly and solve problems independently, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

This role includes a variety of responsibilities, including:

- Opening and closing the Play Café
- Supervising the Play Café for children ages 0-6yrs, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
- Providing barista service
- Decorating for and facilitating children's birthday parties and special events
- Working at the front desk and providing excellent customer service
- Greeting and assisting families and guests
- Responding to questions and resolving issues as they arise
- Assisting with other day-to-day operations as needed

Qualifications The ideal candidate will:

- Be a strong problem solver and quick thinker
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills




- Be a friendly and approachable "people person"
- Be able to remain calm, organized, and positive in a busy environment
- Be reliable, responsible, and comfortable working independently
- Have experience working with children in educational, recreational, or entertainment settings
- Possess solid public speaking abilities to engage groups of children and parents confidently
- Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for guests of all ages
- Guest services and cash handling experience to handle inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Barista experience an asset

Schedule & Compensation

This is a weekend position with shifts available on:

- Saturday and Sunday
- Play Café operating hours: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Shifts are 8 hours in length
- $18.95/hr

All successful applicants will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening and Criminal Background Check.

Pay: From $18.95 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week
