McGill University in Montreal invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar in atmospheric moist convection. The objective is to develop reduced but realistic models of cumulus life cycles that may be applied toward cumulus parameterization and/or machine-learning algorithms for predicting short-term convective hazards.
The work combines observations and high-resolution simulations to gain current conceptual insights on cloud life cycles, including large-eddy simulations over large domains.
