The successful candidate will be part of a team that is proactive in providing manufacturing standards and improvements in order to add value to our customers through effective and reliable processes.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

- Key focus on electronics assembly and inspection equipment to enhance equipment performance and to support Operations in on-going process improvements and training
- Interface with R&D;, Quality Technician, Production Associates, and Leadership Team to achieve:

o Improved Operational Effectiveness o World Class Quality o Technical Expertise
- Work on Continuous Improvement of the processes on the production floor to improve quality and cycle time by focusing on:

o Defect analysis o Assembly tools and fixtures o Automation of processes and equipment o Elimination of redundant and non-value added operations o Optimizing the product flow
- Proactively pursue better methods and/or recent technologies in order to assist the R&D; team in improving the product design and enabling United Chargers to produce a better product, cost effectively.
- Generate robust Procedures for the Operation and Maintenance of production equipment
- Lead the purchase, installation and commissioning of new equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience in electronics assembly
- Process Expert in the area of SMT (Yamaha) and Wave (Electrovert)



soldering. Additional experience in Reflow/Wave Profiling is an asset
- Knowledge of Process control methodologies (SPC, Cp, Cpk,)
- Knowledge of Six sigma and Lean Manufacturing
- Knowledge of fixture/tooling design (SMT stencil, wave pallet, etc)
- Must be knowledgeable in the area of equipment maintenance (electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, use of schematics, etc)
- Experience in Equipment Evaluations and Comissioning as well as Process Validation
- Must have excellent communication skills, technical writing abilities, analytical skills, be a team player and able to take independent decisions related to the job function.
- Knowledge of IPC documentation.
