Blue Falls Manufacturing’s (“BFM’s”) Quality Department is currently looking for full-time Quality Control Inspectors to work alongside its’ Production crew in Thorsby, Alberta.

The successful candidate(s) will work a day shift, Monday through Friday; shift scheduling will be in line with the current production schedule, subject to minor fluctuation, based on operational needs.

Duties:

- Inspect shells, cabinets, and equipment to validate compliance to the Quality and Production Playbooks
- Maintain and update the Quality Playbook
- Identify root cause(s) of defects and recommend updates to Production Playbook
- Repair acrylic damage and touch up cabinets
- Inspect molds and maintain records for Mold Inspections, Mold Adjustments, and Production Hot Sheets
- Help Production achieve goals by informing Lead Hands of repairs required; inspecting work in process; solving problems; repairing acrylic damage; assisting with touch-ups, and housekeeping
- Ensure quality is built into processes
- Balance flow in all of Quality’s areas assuring on time delivery
- Discover and understand root causes of problems
- Learn from mentors and mentor our teammates
- Participate in continuous improvement events and projects

Skills/Abilities:

- Knowledge of materials used in hot tub fabrication: acrylic, fiberglass, etc.
- Ability to inspect for, record, track and report deviations




- Demonstrated capacity to produce quality work
- Strong focus on compliance and safety standards
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Meticulous; attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to stand for sustained periods over an eight (8) hour period or longer
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks in a quick-paced environment
- Excellent attendance and punctuality

Experience/Qualifications:

- Experience in hot tub manufacturing industry
- Current employee, having worked in one or more of the assembly line areas
- Experience working with hand, power and/or air tools considered an asset

Work Environment:

- Manufacturing plant setting
- Depending on work area, exposure to hot, humid, wet, cool/cold and/or breezy conditions
- May be exposed to chemicals/fumes, dust/particulates, and varying noise levels

Compensation:

- Starting at $21 per hour.
- Potential for occasional overtime
- Benefits following 3 months of employment

Other:

- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation to commute to and from work
- Own steel-toed footwear required; all other PPE provided by BFM
