THE OPPORTUNITY:

Volunteer Prince George (VPG) is looking for a dynamic, outgoing, and passionate leader who thrives in a team environment and loves inspiring people to build a brighter future for our community. This part-time role is perfect for someone who believes deeply in volunteerism, brings uplifting energy, and knows how to make change happen through strong program direction and meaningful community engagement. You’ll champion VPG’s activities, spark involvement across Prince George, and build powerful connections that motivate individuals to get involved and make a difference.

ABOUT VOLUNTEER PRINCE GEORGE:

VPG is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting volunteers and community organizations. We build connections, share opportunities, and foster strong volunteer connections. We are a stand-alone volunteer centre recognized by Volunteer Canada and a trusted resource for volunteer engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum completion of a high school diploma. Additional post-secondary education or training in a related field is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a not-for-profit, charitable environment is considered a strong asset.
- Experience in developing and managing budgets and grant writing is considered an asset.
- Experience in volunteer management, the volunteer sector, and/or working with a board of directors is considered an asset.
- Experience in marketing, promotion and public speaking,



including writing effective, concise content for multiple platforms, websites, and social media channels, is considered an asset.
- Experience with and an understanding of the WordPress platform is considered an asset.
- Clear criminal record check.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Excellent ability to organize, manage multiple tasks and prioritize; able to exercise independent judgment in the resolution of problems.
- Robust networking skills and exemplary interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proactive self-starter responsive to the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret and communicate our society’s policies.
- Ability to work independently and meet demanding work schedules and timelines.

SALARY: $25.00 PER HOUR HOURS: 20-25 HOURS PER WEEK

START DATE: November 2026
