Job Summary

We are seeking project controls engineers who will be working on Plant Floor Systems to join our dynamic team for the upcoming projects at Oshawa.

Duties

- Develop, implement, configure and support Scalable Error Proofing (SEP) and Error Proofing System (EPP) applications for existing and new projects.
- Program and troubleshoot Rockwell PLC programs for various automated systems per customer's software standards.
- Collaborate with multi engineering groups to design control systems that meet project specifications.
- Review and correct software & hardware developed by suppliers per customer's design & build standards.
- Attend project meetings to review project schedule, manpower, design status and installation plan.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to assist in system design and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support during system installations, production and upgrades.

Qualifications




- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with minimum 5 years of experience in the controls and automation industry.
- Proven programming skills using Allen Bradley PLC & Siemens HMI.
- Previous experience on GM EPP/SEP system an asset. Training will be provided for the right candidates.
- GCCH & GCCS certificates an asset.
- Knowledge of electrical hardware design principles, and pneumatic control systems.
- Experience in project management from planning, hardware/software design review, BOM review, execution, installation & commissioning.
- Must be a team player to work collaboratively with different engineering teams and suppliers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Potentially 200K+ including travel expenses and overtime pay for the right candidates. Job Types: Full time, Contract, Permanent
