TEKTELIC Communications Inc. is a Calgary-based designer and manufacturer of IoT hardware, including LoRaWAN® gateways, sensors and related solutions deployed worldwide. We're looking for a hands-on Quality Manager to maintain our quality management systems and help grow our certified scope as our local manufacturing expands.

What You'll Do

- Maintain and continually improve TEKTELIC's certified management systems:
- ISO 9001 (quality management)
- ISO 13485 (medical device quality management)
- ISO/IEC 80079-34 (quality systems for manufacturing equipment used in explosive atmospheres, under IECEx/ATEX)
- Lead the project to bring our local Calgary manufacturing site into the ISO 9001 certification scope. This covers gap analysis, process documentation, internal audits, management review and the certification-body audit.
- Build and roll out a set of SOPs aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 (information security). We'll implement these internally for now and aren't pursuing certification yet.
- Plan and run internal audits, and support external surveillance and recertification audits.
- Manage CAPA, nonconformance, complaint handling and root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, fishbone).
- Control the QMS documentation: quality manual, procedures, work instructions, forms and records.
- Collect, maintain and audit training records and competency matrices across the organization.
- Work with Engineering, Production, Procurement and Supplier Quality on supplier approval, incoming inspection and supplier corrective actions.
- Track and report quality KPIs to leadership, and prepare management review inputs.

What You Bring





- 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality management in a manufacturing environment, ideally electronics or hardware.
- Required: hands-on experience maintaining an ISO 9001 QMS, including internal audits and supporting external certification audits.
- Working knowledge of CAPA, root-cause analysis and document control.
- Able to write clear, practical SOPs that people actually follow.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with strong record-keeping habits.
- Clear communicator who can work with every department.
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, Quality or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

- Experience with a medical device QMS (ISO 13485).
- Experience with an Ex / hazardous-location QMS (ISO/IEC 80079-34, IECEx QAR or ATEX quality notification).
- Exposure to ISO/IEC 27001 or information security controls.
- Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training (ISO 9001 or ISO 13485).
- Experience with eQMS software and ERP systems (e.g., Epicor).
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610) and electronics manufacturing processes.
